Phuntsho Wangdi, PhD
Phuntsho Wangdi completed his PhD in Public Policy from the School of Public Policy, Chiang Mai University in Thailand. He has a Master’s in Public Administration from the National University of Singapore, a Master’s in Education Studies from the University of Canberra and a Master of Education from the Royal University of Bhutan. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in English Honours from Delhi University, India. Previously, he worked as an education administrator and policy maker in the Ministry of Education under the Royal Government of Bhutan. He also worked as a Project Manager for the Education Review Office to develop the Bhutan Education Blueprint 2014-2024, ten-year strategic roadmap for the Ministry of Education. Before his current role as the Founder and Managing Director of the EduPlus Training Institute, Bhutan, he worked as a Research Assistant at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. He is also the Founder of Bhutan Insights – an Educational Journal. His research interests are equitable education policy and practice, innovative and enterprising education, public policy and administration and education for gross national happiness.
